Electronic Visit Verification for Wisconsin

News and Updates

PremierFMS is excited to offer several upcoming webinars and in-person training opportunities. Review our Training Schedule.

What is Electronic Visit Verification?

Electronic Visit Verification or EVV is a technology used to confirm that a service actually occurred.

All non live-in workers providing the following services to self-directed participants are required to submit time via EVV:

  • IRIS self-directed personal care per 15 minutes (T1019, SDPC)
  • Routine supportive home care per 15 minutes (S5125, SHC)
  • Routine supportive home care per day (S5126, SHC)
Do I Need to Use EVV?

If your participant-hired workers do not live with you, then yes, your workers are required to use EVV.

EVV is an important tool to protect self-directed programs and the participants they serve.

All non live-in workers providing the following services are required to submit time via EVV:

  • IRIS self-directed personal care per 15 minutes (T1019, SDPC)
  • Routine supportive home care per 15 minutes (S5125, SHC)
  • Routine supportive home care per day (S5126, SHC)

For a complete list of activity codes that should be used when submitting Time Cards, please check the full list of Service Codes.

Failure to use EVV may result in consequences for the participant such as having to find a new worker or termination from the program.

To prevent having to find a new worker or being terminated from the program, participants are required to make sure that each non live-in participant-hired worker uses EVV for each check in and check out.

Knowing how to use EVV is the first step. Take action today!
