  • Referrals to available resources to caregivers of Veterans.

Caregivers of Veterans with major injuries or serious illnesses can enroll in PCAFC. Specific eligibility information can be found on the VA website.

Caregivers in the VA network can access the Peer Support Mentoring program. Caregivers can learn from other Caregivers or become a mentor themselves. In the program, Caregivers can share their past experiences, especially with handling difficult situations. Mentors can also share VA resources they used and would recommend. In addition to resources and share experiences, Caregivers can network with other caregivers, and learn more about a career in caregiving. Those interested in receiving peer mentoring or becoming a mentor, can reach out to their local VA support coordinator.
