What is the LCPD?
- The Legislative Coalition for People with Disabilities (LCPD) is a non-profit organization. It represents people with disabilities in the state legislature. The LCPD allows anyone to advocate for changes to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities.

How can you get involved?
- There are many ways to get involved with the LCPD. The best way to become involved is through membership. It’s as simple as filling out the form on their website. Members can either be voting or non-voting members.
- You can also get involved by contacting Utah state legislators through phone call, email, or visiting in-person. On the LCPD’s Links and Resources page, you can find links to other organizations that advocate for individuals with disabilities. These include:
- Institute for Disability Research
- Policy & Practice
- Disability Law Center of Utah
- Utah Statewide Independent Living Council (USILC)
- Attending LCPD meetings is another way to advocate. These virtual meetings are from September through January on the first Thursday every month. Signing up for the meetings is completed as part of your membership sign-up.
